Das System koppelt 32 kHz, 20 W Ultraschallenergie in ein verschlossenes 1,5–2,0 ml Mikrozentrifugenröhrchen ein.\n\n\nIm Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Ultraschallsonikatoren dringt der Schallkopf nicht in die Probe ein. Diese geschlossene Bauweise reduziert die Verschleppung von Sondenpartikeln, Kreuzkontaminationen, Aerosolbildung und den Reinigungsaufwand zwischen den Läufen.
