Flow-rate peristaltic pumps are an upgraded version of speed-variable pumps, designed for users who require precise and stable flow control. Unlike basic speed-variable models that rely on motor speed adjustment to approximate flow, this type allows users to directly set the desired flow rate (e.g., mL/min) and displays real-time flow rate as well as cumulative volume. This significantly improves flow accuracy and stability, making it suitable for applications where delivery precision is important.
Typically equipped with a touchscreen interface, flow-rate pumps retain all core functions of speed-control models while adding advanced features such as time mode operation, back-suction angle adjustment, flow calibration, and more precise timing control. In time mode, users can set flow rate (or speed, depending on the model), running duration, interval time, and repetition cycles.
Flow-rate peristaltic pumps are ideal for applications requiring a constant and accurate flow rate, such as laboratory reagent dosing (e.g., delivering 5 mL per minute), small-scale production line liquid proportioning, and environmental water sampling.
The key difference compared to dispensing-type pumps is that flow-rate pumps do not support direct fixed-volume dispensing. Output is controlled through flow rate (or speed) and runtime settings, allowing volume delivery to be achieved indirectly rather than by directly presetting a fixed volume per cycle.
