INTRODUCTION

The U.S. Solid USS-DVT70002 touchscreen rotational viscometer measures the apparent viscosity of liquid samples for laboratory testing and production quality checks. Select a spindle and speed to compare oils, paints, adhesives, and other compatible fluids under consistent conditions.

FEATURES Product features Product features

  • TOUCHSCREEN OPERATION: Set test parameters on a 5 inch touchscreen with English and Chinese menus; view viscosity, torque, speed, and temperature, or open the curve to follow changes during a test.
  • 8-SPEED MEASUREMENT: Select  0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 30, 60 rpm for viscosity testing up to 2,000,000 mPa·s; includes spindles 1 to 4, with accuracy of ±2% and repeatability of ±1% for Newtonian liquids.
  • REUSABLE TEST SETTINGS: Save up to 5 measurement presets and 50 dated test records; timed and continuous modes support repeated checks of paints, adhesives, oils, and other compatible liquid samples.
  • TEMPERATURE MONITORING: Included PT100 probe measures sample temperature with an accuracy of ±0.2°C; helps document test conditions, while sample heating or cooling requires separate equipment.
  • RS232 DATA OUTPUT: Includes an RS232 interface and communication cable for compatible computer or printer connections; calculate kinematic viscosity by entering the sample density at the test temperature.

APPLICATIONS

  • Oils and other compatible liquid samples
  • Paints, coatings, and related liquid materials
  • Adhesives and compatible formulations
  • Laboratory testing and production quality checks

FAQ

1. What samples can this viscometer test?

It is intended for compatible liquid samples, including oils, paints, adhesives, and other fluids used in laboratory testing and production quality checks.

2. How should I select a spindle and speed?

Select the spindle and one of the eight speeds according to the sample and measurement conditions. Keep torque within 10% to 90% during testing.

3. Does the instrument heat or cool the sample?

No. The included PT100 probe measures and documents sample temperature. Sample heating or cooling requires separate equipment.

4. Can it calculate kinematic viscosity?

Yes. Kinematic viscosity is calculated from measured dynamic viscosity and user-entered density at the test temperature. The instrument does not measure density.

5. Are low-viscosity accessories included?

No. The No. 0 spindle and low-viscosity assembly are optional. Printer and temperature-control bath are not included.

6. How should non-Newtonian samples be compared?

Use consistent spindle, speed, temperature, and test time when comparing non-Newtonian samples.
