JFOILP00001 Model USSOILP3 review
I purchased the JFOILP00001 Model USSOILP3. I bought this press specifically for walnuts. I had five pounds of shelled nut meats to process. I baked the chopped nuts, roughly 1 1/2 pounds at a time, as described in the instruction manual. I did not add soy beans as suggested, but used only walnuts from the 2020 crop. Having no experience with the machine it took 2 hours to completely process five pounds of nut meats. Twenty four hours later I had just over 2.5 pounds of filtered walnut oil. This is about 1 1/2 quarts. I could not exclude all the sediment so some oil was discarded. Observations: 1. Nut meats must be small enough to be pulled in by the auger or they will not move from the hopper into the feed tube. I believe the total processing time will be reduced if they are cut smaller. 2. Small amounts of oil are emitted from the oil outlet in the front of the machine. Wear an apron or other clothing that can be soiled. 3. I had the heating element on during the entire two hours. The auger was running most of that time. Most other manufacturers machines could not be left on that long. This machine worked perfectly. I am extremely pleased with the results.
