Introduction

The USS-DBS81 Precision Balance series offers high accuracy and reliability, with a precision of 0.001g. Designed for ease of use and quick response, it ensures precise measurement of sample weights.
Featuring dual display screens (front and rear), this balance is versatile, suitable for both standard applications and specialized scenarios where single-screen balances fall short.
The advantages of this balance are its high cost-performance ratio, excellent quality, and fast response. We also offer the basic USS-DBS87 series, which is essentially the same as the DBS81 but features a single display screen.

Precautions

  • Leveling the Balance: Accurate horizontal positioning necessary for repeatable measurementsand exact results. Adjust the leveling feet of the analytical balance until the air bubbleinthe indicator is centered.
  • Warm-Up Requirement: For accurate results, the balance must warm up for at least 30 minutes after being powered on or after a power outage longer than 30 minutes, to reach the proper operating temperature before calibration or use.(For warm-up time details, refer to the user manual or contact support.)
  • Stability: Place the balance on a stable, vibration-free surface, away from drafts and electromagnetic interference. It's important to note that high-precision balances are more susceptible to environmental factors, which can affect reading stability.
  • Calibration: Calibrate the balance if it is moved (even within the same room), when ambient conditions change, and before each use. If pressing the "CAL" button has no effect, ensure you are pressing and holding it. For most models, calibration requires a long press rather than a quick tap.(Refer to the manual for specific instructions).

Troubleshooting

Problem 1: Display remains off after switching on.

Possible causes: Power cord is not connected/ Power line fuse blown/ Power supply interrupted/ Instrument faulty

Problem 2: Display does not change when loading samples.

Possible causes: The sample pan/pan holder is not installed correctly.

Problem 3: Weight display is constantly changing or unstable.

Possible causes: The sample pan is in contact with the draft shield or heating chamber/ Air movement/ Test bench vibration/ Electromagnetic field interference

Exceeded Expectations

Incredible value. High quality. Well built. Place this on a stable surface and allow to warm up for 45 min to 1hr. Calibrate at that time if needed. The scale will remain deadly accurate for the remaining time left on. Great investment!! Highly satisfied! Thanks!

Good scale for the price, hidden trick to save calibration

I like the scale but I was loosing calibration every time it was turned off which was disappointing. However, after playing with it a bit, I found that the calibration will be saved to memory if you adjust the "minimum weighting" after calibration. I didn't see that in the manual.
