U.S. Solid DV Series Digital Rotary Viscometer

INTRODUCTION

The U.S. Solid DV Series Digital Rotary Viscometer is a professional instrument designed for accurate viscosity measurement of Newtonian liquids and apparent viscosity measurement of non-Newtonian liquids. Using intelligent microcomputer control and advanced mechanical design, it provides stable speed, intuitive digital readings, strong anti-interference performance, and a wide working voltage range of AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz. With a measurement range of 100-40,000,000 cP for this model, ±1% full-scale accuracy with standard rotors, automatic scanning, timing measurement, and range overflow alarm functions, the DV Series helps users quickly select suitable rotor and speed combinations for reliable laboratory and quality-control testing.

FEATURES

DV Series Digital Rotary Viscometer Features

FAQ

1. What are the requirements for placing the instrument?

Place the instrument on a stable, clean, dry, non-slip workbench away from corrosive gases, strong electromagnetic interference, and violent vibration. The recommended operating environment is 5°C-35°C with relative humidity ≤80%.

2. How do I select the appropriate rotor and speed?

If the sample viscosity is unknown, assume it is high viscosity first. Begin with a low speed and a rotor suitable for higher-viscosity testing. Then adjust the rotor and speed according to the displayed torque percentage and the model-specific measurement range table. The valid torque range is 10%-90%.

3. What should I do if the range is not suitable?

If the torque percentage is below 10%, reduce the range by increasing the speed or changing to a larger-volume rotor. If the torque percentage is above 90%, increase the range by reducing the speed or changing to a smaller-volume rotor.

4. How to level the instrument?

Adjust the leveling knob under the base until the bubble in the front level indicator is centered in the black circle. Recheck the level after installing the rotor protection frame and lowering the rotor into the sample.

5. How to clean the rotor?

Remove the rotor after each measurement and clean it with a suitable organic solvent. Keep the rotor surface and threads clean, and avoid using metal tools that may scratch the rotor.

6. How can measurement accuracy be maintained?

Keep the sample temperature stable, allow the rotor to remain immersed until the temperature is consistent, avoid air bubbles, keep the rotor centered, and read the viscosity only when the torque percentage is within 10%-90%.

7. Can the instrument connect to a computer or printer?

Yes. The rear interfaces support connection to a computer through the data interface and connection to a portable printer through the printing interface. A temperature probe interface is also available for compatible configurations.
