FAQ
1.Why can't the solenoid valve close?
(1)The solenoid valve is a one-way valve and cannot be installed in reverse. The flow direction of the medium should be consistent with the direction of the arrow.
(2)Impurities in the pipeline or medium may cause the solenoid valve to get stuck, so a filter should be installed to remove the impurities.
2.Can the solenoid valve be energized for a long time? Will it generate heat?
It is suggested to limit the regular coil's daily operation to no more than 8 hours. If continuous operation exceeding 3 hours is required, consider using the normally open type or contacting customer service to discuss switching to a low-power coil.
3.Can the soleniod valve be used when there is backflow in the pipeline?
No, installation of a check valve is required before use. Backflow occurs when there is back pressure at the outlet of the solenoid valve, causing the solenoid valve to not close properly.
Please refer to the correct installation as shown in the diagram:
4.Can the solenoid valve be installed vertically?
The solenoid valve is recommended to be installed horizontally with the coil facing upwards. When used outdoors, please install the junction box facing downwards.
WARNING
FLOW DIRECTION: Note the arrow on your valve. Most U.S. Solid valves are unidirectional, meaning they are designed to flow in only one direction, indicated by the arrow. If connected in the opposite direction, the valve will not operate correctly (it will not close for Normally Closed valves). Additionally, ensure that the medium passing through the valve is filtered. If it is not, particles may accumulate on the gasket over time, potentially causing it to not seal properly.
INSTALLATION: Install the valve horizontally in the direction of the port. The valve is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, but it is necessary to avoid being exposed to rain when used outdoors to prevent short circuit of the coil.
POLARITY: All U.S. Solid USS-HSV solenoid valves are 2 wire set-up, the valves will actuate regardless of which terminal each wire is connected to (+ or -).
PRESSURE: All solenoid valves need some pressure to actuate. This is especially true of pilot or indirectly operated valves.
PARTICLE FREE: Make sure whatever medium is flowing through the valve is free of particles. These particles can attach themselves to the gasket and will lead to poor performance or leakage over time.
