U.S. Solid carries a full line of Motorized Ball Valves, Solenoid Valves, and Replacement Solenoid Valves for a variety of applications in fluid control, pneumatics, and regulated actuation. A range of valves have been developed for specific mediums including petroleum hydrocarbons, water, and several different gasses. Our Solenoid Valves are near-instant in their activation time and are preferred where short actuation time is critical. On the other hand, Motorized Ball Valves, while a little slower to open or close (usually a couple of seconds), are often full port, allowing for maximum flow. The downside to solenoid valves is that they continuously utilize energy while actuated (with the exception of Latching Solenoid Valves). For this reason, most solenoid valves are not intended to be energized for long periods of time, as they can get very hot and risk overheating. Motorized ball valves are a perfect solution for those that need prolonged actuation. For several of our models, no energy is used once fully open or fully closed, while others use negligible amounts. Motorized ball valves can be run non-stop, 24 hours a day, without risk of overheating.

Furthermore we carry a variety of different types of wiring, valve body materials, and gasket materials. We use VITON for petroleum applications and Nitrile Rubber for the majority of other mediums. Fluorinated, vulcanized, and polymerized gaskets have been shown to withstand the harshest of environments and provide long term durability against many of the most commonly used mediums in process control.
