INTRODUCTION
This U.S. Solid 3 Way 2 Position Pneumatic Electric Solenoid Valve is a normally closed directional control valve designed to control the supply and exhaust of compressed air in pneumatic systems. It provides an interface between an electrical control signal and a pneumatic actuator or other air-operated device.
The valve has three ports: Port P is the compressed air supply inlet, Port A is the working port for connection to an actuator, and Port R is the exhaust port. When de-energized, Port P is closed and Port A exhausts through Port R. When energized, compressed air flows from Port P to Port A.
The valve body is made of aluminum alloy. The package includes two push-to-connect air fittings, one pneumatic muffler, and one 10 m roll of PTFE thread seal tape.

INSTALLATION
Port R is the exhaust port and should be fitted with the included pneumatic muffler. Ports P and A are for the push-to-connect air fittings. Connect Port P to the compressed air supply and Port A to the pneumatic actuator or air-operated device. Wrap PTFE tape around the fitting threads before installation. Hand-tighten all fittings first, then secure them with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Thread sizes: 1/4" for the pneumatic muffler and 1/4" for the push-to-connect air fittings.

The valves have an ingress - protection rating of IP65. The first digit 6 indicates complete dust - tightness. The second digit 5 means protection against water jets from any direction. Please follow the markings on the valve body: Port P is for the air supply, Port A connect to your pneumatic device, and Port R is for the muffler. Remember to wrap the threads with PTFE tape and hand-tighten before using.
3. Can this valve operate without air pressure if I only provide power?
This is an internally piloted valve, meaning it requires a minimum working pressure of 0.15 MPa (22 PSI) to switch positions. If there is no air pressure, the valve will not function correctly even when energized.
