Introduction
Our electric CPVC ball valve series has been upgraded to include three larger sizes: 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2". These larger valves feature a unique US standard socket end & double union connection—enabling exceptional ease of installation and maintenance with a simple solvent cement bond, unlike threaded NPT or G connections. For other connection standards, please contact our customer service.
These valves feature a 5-wire auto-return configuration with signal feedback and remain in a normally-closed position. They use two wires for power supply and three dedicated wires for signal feedback only, providing open/closed position signaling to your control system. For safety, they automatically close if power is lost. A manual override is also included for use during power outages. All valves have FPM seals for reliable performance.
Applications
Features
- Union & Socket End: Different from standard NPT/G threaded connections, it uses socket-gluing for sealing and integrates threaded structures, balancing connection stability with quick disassembly and maintenance needs.
- Manual Function: Comes with a hex wrench as standard; allows manual valve opening and closing during power outages. "O"=Open, "S"=Close.
- Indicator Window: Built-in engraved marks directly show the valve's open/closed status. External arrow pointing to "0" means fully closed; pointing to "90" means fully open.
- Premium Material: Valve body made of CPVC with FPM seals, providing improved temperature resistance and chemical compatibility for more demanding fluid control applications.
- 5-Wire Auto Return with Signal Feedback: Uses two wires for power supply and three dedicated wires for signal feedback. The valve remains normally closed, automatically closes when power is lost, and provides open/closed position feedback to a control or monitoring system.

5-Wire (2-Wire Auto Return + Signal Feedback)
This model uses a 5-wire wiring method that combines 2-wire auto-return control with signal feedback. It includes two wires for power supply and three wires for open/closed position feedback. The valve is normally closed by default: it opens when powered and automatically returns to the closed position when power is lost or disconnected.
- Connect the power and signal feedback wires according to the wiring diagram.
- Wire Color Coding: BK (Black), RD (Red), YW (Yellow), WT (White), BU (Blue), GN (Green), and OG (Orange).
- For reliable auto-reset performance, power the valve for at least 60 seconds (≥60s) during first commissioning or after a prolonged power cut.
- Before manual operation, disconnect power and wait briefly for the actuator to discharge.
FAQ
Problem 1: What are the advantages of the CPVC body with FPM seals?
Compared with standard UPVC material, CPVC offers improved temperature resistance and better chemical compatibility for more demanding fluid control applications. FPM seals provide enhanced resistance to many chemicals and higher temperatures compared with general-purpose seals. Please confirm material compatibility with your working medium before use.
Problem 2: What is unique about the connection method of this ball valve?
The larger sizes of our ball valve series (1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2") come standard with Socket End ports for solvent cement bonding and a Union structure for easier installation and maintenance, instead of common threaded connections such as NPT or G.
This union design allows the valve body to be installed or removed more easily for maintenance or replacement, without cutting the pipe or rotating the valve body itself.
The pipe sockets are made to a US standard. Please note that the Socket Inside Diameter (I.D.) may vary by national standard even for the same nominal size, such as 1-1/4". For other connection standards, including British Standard, Japanese Industrial Standard, or others, please contact our customer service team.
Problem 3: What precautions apply to auto-return models?
The auto-return ball valve requires a minimum power-on duration of 60 seconds (≥60s). This step is mandatory during first commissioning or after a prolonged power cut to ensure reliable auto-reset performance. Before using the manual override, always disconnect the power first. For auto-return models, please wait for a short period after power is disconnected before manual operation, as the actuator needs time to discharge; otherwise, the valve may be difficult to turn manually.
Problem 4: Does this model come with a manual function?
Yes. The manual override function allows you to control the opening and closing of the valve during a power outage. A hexagonal wrench is included with the valve for this purpose.
Problem 5: What should be noted during manual operation?
Power must be disconnected before manual operation. Turn the valve according to the "O" and "S" indicators: "O" = Open, "S" = Close. The valve should be turned fully open or fully closed; do not leave it in a middle position, as this may damage the valve. For auto-return models, wait for a short period after disconnecting power before manual operation.
Problem 6: How to read the indicator window?
The external arrow shows the valve position. When the arrow points to "0", the valve is fully closed; when it points to "90", the valve is fully open.
Problem 7: What is a Union connection?
A Union connection is a detachable valve structure that allows the valve body to be removed more easily for maintenance or replacement without cutting the pipe. On this product, the pipe connection ends are Socket End ports designed for solvent cement bonding.
Problem 8: What should be noted about the four main control methods?
Please pay attention to the wiring type when purchasing. Only auto-return models will automatically return to the closed position when power is lost. Other control methods do not automatically reset after power loss and will remain in their current position.
