Introduction
The USS-DBS3-2 precision balance, with a capacity of up to 200g and a readability of 0.001g, is ideal for applications requiring a moderate level of precision. The strain gauge weighing sensor ensures reliable results, while the backlit LCD display provides clear readings. A draft shield protects against air currents for increased accuracy.
This balance is suited for tasks like chemical experiments, pharmaceutical formulations, and food processing where a degree of precision is required, but it may not be the best choice for highly specialized applications demanding the highest accuracy.

Precautions
- Leveling the Balance: Accurate horizontal positioning necessary for repeatable measurementsand exact results. Adjust the leveling feet of the analytical balance until the air bubbleinthe indicator is centered.
- Warm-Up Requirement: For accurate results, the balance must warm up for at least 30 minutes after being powered on or after a power outage longer than 30 minutes, to reach the proper operating temperature before calibration or use.(For warm-up time details, refer to the user manual or contact support.)
- Stability: Place the balance on a stable, vibration-free surface, away from drafts and electromagnetic interference. It's important to note that high-precision balances are more susceptible to environmental factors, which can affect reading stability.
- Calibration: Calibrate the balance if it is moved (even within the same room), when ambient conditions change, and before each use. If pressing the "CAL" button has no effect, ensure you are pressing and holding it. For most models, calibration requires a long press rather than a quick tap.(Refer to the manual for specific instructions).
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution
Display not working | No power supply | Plug in the adapter
Display shows " ![]() |
Object weight below minimum threshold, taring issues exist, or balance is not properly calibrated. | Make sure item being weighed is at least 10mg. Make sure receptacles have been tared, and the balance has been properly calibrated.
Display shows " ![]() |
ltem being weighed is over maximum allowable weight. | Make sure balance is properly calibrated, and make sure item is below maximum allowable weight.
Display shows "Err-1" | Power issues with the balance. | Machine may have a poor power connection. Check the power in the back, and the outlet. Leave machine off for several minutes, unplug fully, then reconnect and beqin again.
Display shows "Err-2" | Unstable weighing conditions. | Recalibrate machine make sure balance is level, and make sure item being weighed is fully stable. |
