FAQ
1. What operating modes are available?
This syringe pump supports six operating modes: Infusion, Withdrawal, Infuse-then-Withdraw, Withdraw-then-Infuse, Continuous infuse/withdraw operation, and Multiple Infusion.
These modes allow the pump to handle simple dispensing, liquid withdrawal, bidirectional operation, continuous cycling, and repeated dosing workflows.
2. What flow rates can this syringe pump achieve?
The available flow range depends on the syringe inner diameter. Smaller syringes provide ultra-low flow rates for micro-volume applications, while larger syringes support higher flow rates.
The pump supports syringes from 0.5 μL to 60 mL. Use the reference values shown here to check whether your syringe and target flow rate are suitable.
| Syringe Size | Reference Flow Rate |
|---|---|
| 0.5 μL | 0.0007 nL/min - 0.0013 mL/min |
| 5 μL | 0.0074 nL/min - 0.0148 mL/min |
| 100 μL | 0.1334 nL/min - 0.2668 mL/min |
| 1 mL | 1.4060 nL/min - 2.8110 mL/min |
| 5 mL | 9.6620 nL/min - 19.3220 mL/min |
| 10 mL | 13.8940 nL/min - 27.7860 mL/min |
| 30 mL | 34.2870 nL/min - 68.5730 mL/min |
| 60 mL | 54.5680 nL/min - 109.1360 mL/min |
3. What syringes are compatible with this pump?
The pump supports syringe capacities from 0.5 μL to 60 mL. Common syringe specifications are available in the built-in syringe library. If your syringe model is not included, you can manually enter the syringe inner diameter (ID), allowing the pump to calculate accurate flow rates.
4. Can infusion and withdrawal use different flow rates?
Yes. In Infuse-then-Withdraw and Withdraw-then-Infuse modes, the infusion and withdrawal speeds can be configured independently. The interval between direction changes can also be set.
5. Can the pump perform repeated dosing automatically?
Yes. Multiple Infusion mode allows you to set the volume of the repeated infusion step, the number of repetitions, and the interval between consecutive doses, making it suitable for repeated dispensing workflows.
6. Can the pump be controlled by a computer or external signal?
Yes. The pump supports USB and RS485 communication using Modbus RTU. External start/stop control is also available, and a footswitch interface is also provided.
7. How does the pump ensure reliable operation?
The pump features built-in calibration for improved dispensing accuracy, automatic Stall protection that stops operation if excessive resistance is detected, and power-off memory that retains operating parameters after a power interruption.
8. Is this pump suitable for my application?
This pump is suitable for laboratory applications including microfluidics, biological research, chemistry, pharmaceutical research, electrospinning, and other precision liquid-handling workflows.
If you are unsure, send us your syringe size or inner diameter, required flow rate, operating mode, and communication requirements. Our team can help confirm compatibility before ordering.
9. Is this syringe pump intended for medical or clinical use?
No. This product is intended exclusively for laboratory research and industrial fluid handling applications.
10. What warranty does this syringe pump include?
We offer a one-year quality warranty. See more about our return policy.
11. What is the difference between this syringe pump and JFSP00011?
Both pumps offer the same accuracy. This model supports a lower minimum flow rate (0.7 pL/min), making it better for very low-volume liquid delivery, and has a larger touch screen (5-inch).
