FAQ
1. Why choose a four-channel syringe pump?
A four-channel syringe pump allows up to four syringes to run simultaneously under identical operating conditions. It helps increase laboratory throughput, improve experimental consistency, and reduce the time required for repetitive testing, making it ideal for parallel sample processing and screening applications.
2. Can each syringe be set to a different flow rate?
No. All four syringes operate simultaneously using the same operating parameters. This synchronized design is ideal for running multiple samples under identical experimental conditions, helping improve repeatability and experimental consistency.
3. What flow rates can this syringe pump achieve?
The available flow rate depends on the syringe inner diameter. Smaller syringes provide lower flow rates for micro-volume applications, while larger syringes allow higher flow rates.
The USS-SP00017 supports syringe sizes from 10 μL to 20 mL. Use the reference values shown here to determine whether your syringe and target flow rate are suitable.
| Syringe Size | Reference Flow Rate |
|---|---|
| 10 μL | 0.001 μL/min – 0.0128 mL/min |
| 50 μL | 0.0048 μL/min – 0.0618 mL/min |
| 100 μL | 0.0101 μL/min – 0.1307 mL/min |
| 500 μL | 0.0415 μL/min – 0.5392 mL/min |
| 1 mL | 0.0875 μL/min – 1.1373 mL/min |
| 10 mL | 1.0821 μL/min – 14.068 mL/min |
| 20 mL | 1.4176 μL/min – 36.859 mL/min |
4. What syringes are compatible with this pump?
The pump supports syringe sizes from 10 μL to 20 mL. Common syringe specifications can be selected from the built-in syringe library. If your syringe is not listed, you can directly enter the syringe inner diameter to configure a custom syringe.
5. Can infusion and withdrawal use different settings?
Yes. In Infuse-then-Withdraw and Withdraw-then-Infuse modes, the infusion and withdrawal flow rates and target volumes can be configured separately. An adjustable pause time can also be set between the two directions.
6. Can the pump be controlled by a computer?
Yes. The built-in RS485 communication interface allows integration with external computer systems and laboratory automation.
7. How does the pump ensure reliable operation?
The pump features built-in calibration for improved dispensing accuracy, automatic Stall protection that stops operation if excessive resistance is detected, and power-off memory that retains operating parameters after a power interruption.
8. Is this syringe pump intended for medical or clinical use?
No. This product is designed for laboratory research and scientific applications only. It is not intended for clinical, diagnostic, or patient infusion use.
