INTRODUCTION

The U.S. Solid industrial-grade solenoid valve is precision-engineered from corrosion-resistant nylon for long-lasting reliability in demanding environments. The Viton-sealed pilot-operated design delivers rapid response (≤100 ms) with consistent performance across 500,000+ cycles. These valves are available in 220/110 VAC and 24/12 VDC voltages and are constructed with Nylon bodies and viton seal materials. Featuring a high-quality coil, this solenoid valve efficiently controls the opening and closing of the diaphragm in under 1 second for precise flow control. Suitable for air and water, this valve is designed for reliable performance.

FEATURES

APPLICATIONS

POLARITY

When dealing with valves equipped with two wires, an important characteristic to note is their polarity - insensitive design. This means that the valve will actuate correctly regardless of which terminal each wire is connected to. Whether a wire is attached to the positive (+) or negative (-) terminal makes no difference in the valve’s operation. However, it’s essential to be aware that some valve units incorporate an additional ground wire.To determine if your valve has a ground wire, you’ll need to open up the connector. For valves with a ground wire, proper grounding is crucial.

Valve Attributes

Ingress - Protection Rating:

The valves have an ingress - protection rating of IP65. The first digit 6 indicates complete dust - tightness. The second digit 5 means protection against water jets from any direction. They are suitable for a variety of complex environments, effectively resisting the intrusion of dust and water to ensure reliable operation.

FAQ

1. What is the Waterproof Rating of this valve?

The motor's housing is rated at IP65 for ingress protection. If permanently installed outdoors, it is recommended to place it under a shelter or in a protective box to prevent prolonged exposure to rain.

2. Can these solenoid valves be used continuously for extended periods?

These valves should be energized for less than 8 hours. While most do not exceed 18W of power, the coils are in a contained area and can burn out if energized for too long. We recommend using a computer fan to keep the coil cool if continuous operation is necessary.

3.How long should you wait between two consecutive five-hour uses of our solenoid valve?

It is recommended to allow about 20 minutes of cooling time between two consecutive 5-hour operating sessions. The exact cooling time may vary depending on ambient temperature and operating conditions.

4.Can it be used outdoors?

While the solenoid valves have an IP65 rating, making them resistant to water spray, it is recommended to enclose the valve in a protective housing if permanently installed outdoors to ensure long-term durability.
