INTRODUCTION

This U.S. Solid 3 way 2 Position Pneumatic Electric Solenoid Valve is a switch for routing air to any pneumatic device, usually an actuator, allowing a relatively small signal to control a large device. It is also the interface between electronic controllers and pneumatic systems. This valve allows pneumatic control of position, flow, pressure and temperature. The 3/2 valve features three ports: 1 exhaust ports, 1 intake port, and 1 vent ports that direct air to the actuator. This valve is made with an aluminum alloy. We also provide mufflers, fittings and a 10m long PTFE tape for this pneumatic solenoid valve.

INSTALLATION

Ports R and S are exhaust ports and should be fitted with mufflers. Ports A, B, and P are for air fittings. Wrap PTFE tape around the threads before installation. Hand-tighten all fittings first, then secure them with a wrench.

Thread sizes: 1/4" for mufflers and 1/4" for air fittings.

Valve Attributes

Ingress - Protection Rating:

The valves have an ingress - protection rating of IP65. The first digit 6 indicates complete dust - tightness. The second digit 5 means protection against water jets from any direction. They are suitable for a variety of complex environments, effectively resisting the intrusion of dust and water to ensure reliable operation.

FAQ

1. What is the waterproof rating of this valve?

The motor's housing is rated at IP65 for ingress protection. If permanently installed outdoors, it is recommended to place it under a shelter or in a protective box to prevent prolonged exposure to rain.

2. How do I correctly identify and connect the ports during installation?

Please follow the markings on the valve body: Port P is for the air supply, Ports A connect to your pneumatic device, and Ports R is for the muffler. Remember to wrap the threads with PTFE tape and hand-tighten before using.

3. Can this valve operate without air pressure if I only provide power?

This is an internally piloted valve, meaning it requires a minimum working pressure of 0.15 MPa (22 PSI) to switch positions. If there is no air pressure, the valve will not function correctly even when energized.

4. Is it safe to use this valve in wet or dusty industrial environments?

Yes. The valve has an IP65 rating, which means it is completely dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It is designed to operate reliably in complex and harsh industrial conditions.

5. Can this be used for Drinking Water?

YES. This valve is made of Aluminum Alloy, which is lead - free and suitable for use in drinking water systems.
