INTRODUCTION

Motorized ball valves are a vital piece of equipment in numerous applications. This model opens and closes in 3-5 seconds, and remains in its new position while expending almost no energy. This is a key difference between motorized ball valves and many solenoid valves. Most solenoid valves are energized continuously when in a new position, while motorized ball valves expend energy only when changing from open to close, or vice versa.
The 3 wire model is perfect for situations where two point control is needed. Two of the wires can be connected directly to a toggle switch, and the third wire can be connected to a second point of control. This can allow operation with an open/close switch, while the second point of control allows for automation. All models come with instructions and wiring diagrams so you can be completely comfortable with your new valve.
The stainless steel ball valve is NSF certified, which means you can install it in the drinking water pipeline.

FAQ

1. What is the Waterproof Rating of this valve?

The motor's housing is rated at IP65 for ingress protection. If permanently installed outdoors, it is recommended to place it under a shelter or in a protective box to prevent prolonged exposure to rain.

2. What is the difference between N.C. (Normally Closed) and N.O. (Normally Open) ?

In a N.C. valve, it's closed without power and opens when energized. Conversely, in a N.O. valve, it's open without power and closes when energized, blocking fluid or gas flow.

3.What is the difference between Full Port and Standard Port?

In a full port valve, the internal diameter of the valve is the same as the pipe it's connected to. In a standard port valve, the internal diameter of the valve is smaller than the pipe size.

4.Can this be used for Drinking Water?

YES. The motorized ball valve is made of lead-free stainless steel and is NSF certified.

5.For auto return valves, what is the minimum On-Time required for electrical storage to enable closing when power off?

To ensure automatic reset functionality when the power is disconnected, it is essential to power the device for approximately one minute to charge the capacitor in 2-wire auto return motorized ball valves.

6.Can this valve be used for propane?

Yes, our motorized ball valves are suitable for use with propane.

WARNING

1. For 2-wire reverse polarity and 3-wire models, the valve is de-energized when fully open or closed. Other models may use a negligible amount of power when fully open, and the 5-wire model uses energy when closed to keep indicator lights operational. Refer to the specifications sheet for detailed information.

2.The valves depicted in this sheet are not designed to be operated manually. Attempting to manually open or close the valve may result in damage to the valve or injury.

3.Only Auto Return Models will return to the closed position in the event of a power outage. All other models will remain in their current position. If this is a concern, consider purchasing an Auto-Return Model.

4.While the motorized ball valves have an IP65 rating, making them resistant to water spray, it is recommended to enclose the valve in a protective housing if permanently installed outdoors to ensure long-term durability.

5.These valves are designed with power-limiting features, allowing them to be powered continuously without risk of overheating. However, always ensure proper installation and adherence to manufacturer guidelines to maintain safe operation.

The valves have an ingress - protection rating of IP65. The first digit 6 indicates complete dust - tightness. The second digit 5 means protection against water jets from any direction. They are suitable for a variety of complex environments, effectively resisting the intrusion of dust and water to ensure reliable operation.

Integration with Home Automation

Have not actually installed this yet, but it tested well with SONOFF 4CHProR3 Wi-Fi Smart Switch, making it compatible with eWelink app and Alexa. I can open/close valve remotely by phone/voice, and automated schedules. Hope to integrate with water leak sensors to also trigger closing the valve automatically... waiting for SONOFF RF Bridge to test that.

Great Valve with low break in torque 0.55A

I used this valve in conjunction with my Winland Waterbug WB-800. I needed a valve with very low (less than 1) amps as the SPDT C-relay on the sensor was not designed to control a shut off device. This valve met the specifications with an average of 0.2 A. Now I have a great leak detection and automatic shut off system!!

I have to say that the customer service is terrible! The product is terrible! I left 3 VM asking to be called back and never received one. Sent email with issues and the reply didn't address the issues. Then when I went to turn the valve back on, I found that it was jammed. In other words, it was stuck in the open position. Also, it leaked from the casting around the ball valve. So, I can never recommend this product or your company. If I could remove the valve to be returned, I would, but the copper pipe has already been cut and I have to leave in place. Please feel free to respond to me. And feel free to place this review on your website!
