FAQ
1.What type of peristaltic pump is this? What are its main functions?
As the most basic type of peristaltic pump, it supports core functions including speed adjustment, start/stop control, direction reversal, and full-speed operation. Additionally, the BT-N series offers a simple timing function.
2.Does it have a timing function?
Yes, it has a basic timer. You can set the duration (max 999s), and the pump will stop automatically when the time runs out. The timer remembers the last set value. Note: It can only be set via the buttons (not by external control), and it does not support scheduling by specific date or time. Quick setup steps (refer to the manual for details):
- Press and hold the Timer button for 3–5 seconds.
- Set the desired duration using the + and – buttons.
- After setting the time, press the Timer button again to exit and adjust the speed as needed.
- Press the Timer button once more to start the timed run, after which the pump will stop automatically.
3.Does it support external control?
Yes. Please note that the button and knobs will no longer work after switching to external control mode. In this mode, only start/stop, direction reversal, and speed adjustment can be controlled externally—the timing function is not supported. After pressing the external control button, you can check the indicator lights for start/stop, direction, and speed. If an indicator is on, the corresponding function can be controlled externally. The indicators may light up in different combinations: one on, two on, or all three on. If none of the indicators are lit, the unit is not in external control mode.
4.Which types of tubing are compatible with this peristaltic pump?
It supports tubing sizes 1×1, 2×1, and 2.4×0.8. Important note: Although the tubing used for the AMC pump head has standard dimensions, it features three red attachment pieces that clip onto the AMC pump head. This makes the tubing unique to this model. Therefore, if the tubing wears out and needs replacement, please contact our customer service to purchase a new one. Common-size tubing information is provided below for reference only and does not imply full compatibility with all listed sizes.
5.When adjusting the speed or setting the duration, do I need to press the +/- buttons many times?
For precise step-by-step adjustment, press the +/- buttons repeatedly. You can also press and hold a button to adjust quickly—hold to get close to the target value, then tap to fine-tune it.
6.What are the features of the AMC series pump head and how can I interpret codes like AMC2(10) to understand the pump head specifications?
The AMC series pump head features a unique snap-in design and must be used with dedicated tubing that comes with red attachment pieces for clipping onto the pump head. The model number provides key specifications, for example AMC2(10) represents 2 channels and 10 internal rollers, while AMC3(6) would represent 3 channels and 6 rollers. This listing includes AMC1(10), AMC2(10), and AMC3(10) models. We also offer other options such as 6-roller versions or pump heads with more channels up to 12 channels. If you have specific requirements, please contact our customer service.
7.What should be noted when installing tubing on the AMC series pump head?
AMC series pump head requires the use of dedicated tubing fitted with pre‑attached red tube clamps, which securely clip onto the AMC pump head during installation. When you purchase one unit, the package includes a complementary set of compatible tubing—2 meters of each size (1×1, 2×1, and 2.4×0.8). If the tubing wears out and needs replacement, please contact our customer service to purchase a new one.
Important notes for tubing installation
- Press the elastic locking arm mechanism to open the cartridge.
- Each piece of tubing is fitted with three tube clamps, providing two working positions (each working position is determined by two adjacent tube clamps).
- Make sure the tube clamps are securely clipped into the cartridge during installation. A slight stretch of the tubing while installing is normal.
8.What are the differences between the BT100N, BT300N, and BT600N in the BT-N series?
There is no significant functional difference; the main distinction lies in their speed ranges. The BT100N supports a range of 0.1–150 rpm, the BT300N supports 0.1–350 rpm, and the BT600N supports 0.1–600 rpm. Correspondingly, they can achieve different flow rate ranges as well.
