INTRODUCTION
Motorized ball valves are a vital piece of equipment in numerous applications. This model opens and closes in 3-5 seconds, and remains in its new position while expending almost no energy. This is a key difference between motorized ball valves and many solenoid valves. Most solenoid valves are energized continuously when in a new position, while motorized ball valves expend energy only when changing from open to close, or vice versa.
The 2 wire auto return model is perfect for situations where the valve needs to be closed in case of power loss. The valve can be energized to open, and left hooked up, with negligible energy used once fully opened. To close, simply shutoff power to the valve. This valve is convenient because it can be operated with a simple on off switch. When on, it will remain open, when turned off (or power is lost for some other reason) the valve automatically closes.
The stainless steel ball valve is NSF certified, which means you can install it in the drinking water pipeline.

1. What is the Waterproof Rating of this valve?
The motor's housing is rated at IP65 for ingress protection. If permanently installed outdoors, it is recommended to place it under a shelter or in a protective box to prevent prolonged exposure to rain.
2. What is the difference between N.C. (Normally Closed) and N.O. (Normally Open) ?
In a N.C. valve, it's closed without power and opens when energized. Conversely, in a N.O. valve, it's open without power and closes when energized, blocking fluid or gas flow.
3.What is the difference between Full Port and Standard Port?
In a full port valve, the internal diameter of the valve is the same as the pipe it's connected to. In a standard port valve, the internal diameter of the valve is smaller than the pipe size.
4.Can this be used for Drinking Water?
YES. The motorized ball valve is made of lead-free stainless steel and is NSF certified.
5.For auto return valves, what is the minimum On-Time required for electrical storage to enable closing when power off?

WARNING
1. For 2-wire reverse polarity and 3-wire models, the valve is de-energized when fully open or closed. Other models may use a negligible amount of power when fully open, and the 5-wire model uses energy when closed to keep indicator lights operational. Refer to the specifications sheet for detailed information.
2.The valves depicted in this sheet are not designed to be operated manually. Attempting to manually open or close the valve may result in damage to the valve or injury.
3.Only Auto Return Models will return to the closed position in the event of a power outage. All other models will remain in their current position. If this is a concern, consider purchasing an Auto-Return Model.

United StatesSolved 25 Year Problem with Geo Heat Pump Well System
My home has 3.5T geo heat pump located on the second floor. For nearly 25 years I have endured noisy starts and stops due primarily to water hammer of the PVC open loop or “pump and dump” well system. The standard practice of Northeast Florida AC contractors is to use either a slow opening irrigation valve or something made by Taco that costs $200. I repeatedly purchased the Irritrol 205TF recommended by the local distributor for Bosch/FHP/TETCO. Despite many changes to piping, well, pump location, pressure, and addition of water hammer arrestors, I could never quite end the calamity of the starts and stops. I found a professor’s study online that recommended a ball valve and that led me to this US Solid. I have found the Holy Grail! This is it, perfectly smooth starts and stops every time. No need to clamp down all the pipes. No need for water hammer arrestors. Have over one year installed experience. Many hot days the system starts and stops 100 times. Please don’t tell the AC techs or go blabbing about this at the ASHRAE show. Sometimes DIYers do engineer solutions that the industry ignores.
