Collection: Peristaltic Pump
The peristaltic pump is comprised of three different parts: the pump shell with circular inner cavity, the roller wheel and an elastic tube. The elastic tube is installed in the pump shell. The tube is squeezed by the roller to form a closed cut-off point, which moves with the roller when it rotates. While the elastic tube resumes to the natural state after the roller leaves, the vacuum will be formed in the tube, which will suck in the fluid that will be squeezed out by the next roller.
The peristaltic pump pipe works in a creep state. That is why it is called peristaltic pump. When the peristaltic pump tube is completely closed by the roller, the fluid will not return. Therefore, the peristaltic pump is a positive displacement pump (the speed is proportional to the flow rate). The fluid inside the peristaltic pump only passes through the elastic tube and does not touch any other parts of the pump. The liquid squirms and extrudes in the pump pipe, so it will not shear the liquid transported and will not destroy the shear sensitive fluid.
